Bilo
Bilo is the acronym for "Bilateral Lithotripsy Operator." Guided by Bilo's concentrically aligned two spherical arms, a urology surgeon can target kidney stones from two separate laparoscopic openings. A surgical probe can be sent from one arm and a fiber-optic camera from the other to view the fragmentation of the stones during the operation. This instrument drastically reduces the time required for the surgeon to locate the kidney stone, a task traditionally performed under x-ray exposure. Bilo is designed for "Next Generation Innovative Technologies."
